I am, as of September 2023 an 8th Dan Black Belt.
I started training in Martial Arts in 1979. I have always been involved in Sports and I have represented Suffolk County in Gymnastics, Rugby and Athletics also playing 1st team Rugby for Bury St Edmunds in the 70's.
I started training in Moo-Duk-Kwan in 1979 and trained in Tae Kwon Do, Karate, Kickboxing, White and Black Tiger plus close Quarter Self Defence. Gaining valuable lessons and incorporating those into my own styles of White Tiger & Black Tiger. I am still learning and frequently set my self new learning skills.
White Tiger is based on Tae-kwon-Do but with other best moves from other systems, and a move away from competition to pure Self Defense.
Kickboxing is traditional Kickboxing & Boxing based but with other best moves from other systems, and a move away from competition gives us this powerful no non-sense Self Defense.
Close Quarter Self Defense has been devised from all the best moves we have trained with over the years. Not lots of Punching and Kicking.
All of our instructors/teachers are very experienced and have many years of Martial Arts knowledge.
It takes around 5 years to become a Black Belt and even longer to prove your skills for teaching a martial art.
Everyone is encouraged to teach from the very first moment you walk into the club.
We understand that adapting to new fitness habits are difficult and they often fail.
Our goal is to change your view on fitness, so that it becomes apart of who you are and your lifestyle.
We strongly believe that if you practice healthy habits, you will be able to obtain a healthy lifestyle.
